Pairing subgrapHs Using NetworK Environment Equivalence


Node Matching in Protein Interaction Networks






In general, there may be many sequence relationships of different strengths between nodes in different protein interaction networks (shown as arrows above). In order to compare subgraph network context, corresponding (shared) nodes first need to be determined. The diagram below demonstrates shared nodes that might be found for the above networks (shared nodes are coloured green and have the same label). Shared nodes are deemed equivalent nodes in the different networks.







Two methods are used by PHUNKEE to determine which nodes are shared between the networks:

  1. Hungarian method
  2. COG function matching method
