With RasMol properly installed on your local computer you can visualise the structures presented herein (see Section 4 for help). Once ready you can proceed directly to the top of the hierarchy, this page has links to all 20 folds studied in this work. Select a specific fold, for example the Globin fold. All the rules are listed in red boxes, one rule per box. Underneath each one you will find the list of positive matches. Clicking on the domain identifier (e.g. d1scta_) opens a new frame with the corresponding SCOP page. The secondary structure elements for each domain are presented graphically; the colour of an element is a function of its hydrophobicity while the height of the font depends on its size. Clicking on RasMol icon ( \includegraphics{rasmol_very_small.eps}) brings a view of the molecule which uses the same colour code. The domain of interest is shown in white using a cartoon representation, the rest of the molecule is shown in wireframe. If a rule involves a secondary structure, this is shown in red.

Proceed to the top of the hierarchy.
